Watched the movie "Katha Sangama".
This anthology film is recommended as a one time watch if you are tired of done to death commercial films. Good effort by Rishab Shetty & team. To cover seven short stories in limited time is not easy. They have done a good job barring a few flaws here & there. The seven chapters are Rainbow Land, Sathya Katha Prasanga, Girgitle, Utthara, Padavaralli, Sagara Sangama & Lachavva. One thing to note about Katha Sangama is that as it offers a plethora of emotions, everyone can pick their favourites (which story was the best amongst all seven etc.)
My personal favourites
1) Lachavva
This story comes at the end but that actually is the best in the movie. Natural performance by Paravva although she is not a professional actress. Tears flow from our eyes while watching every heart touching scene. All other characters have also done justice to their respective roles.
2) Rainbow Land
This story is like the opening batsman of this movie as the movie starts with it & yes its a superb story. Mind blowing performance by Kishore, Yagna Shetty & Baby Mridunika.
3) Padavaralli
This story is set in the pre independence era. It takes place in a barber's shop. Veteran actor Avinash plays a major role in this.
4) Girgitle
Ever since I saw Ondu Motteya Kathe, I have been a great admirer of Raj B Shetty. Multi talented brilliant performer. He rocks in this story. Actress Amrutha Naik (lecturer in Ondu Motteya Kathe) has also done a fine job in this story.
5) Utthara
Pramod Shetty simply rocks in this. Superb acting. Story could have been a bit better. But its ok.
6) Sagara Sangama
Haripriya & Rishab Shetty pull off a strong performance. Story is okie dokie. But Rishab's skills as an actor are simply outstanding.
7) Sathya Katha Prasanga
Somewhat different concept.
Good performance by Prakash Belawadi.
Superb
