Millets are the food that our forefathers were eated, thats why there is no diabetes , bp at that time.
Lets compare our food(rice, wheat, etc) and millets
Rice has - 0.2g of fiber and nearly 75g of carbohydrates (because of highly polished rice we are getting 0g of fibre, its too worst)
Millets has - 5 to 12g of fiber in different millets and and nearly 75g of carbohydrates
Wheat has -1g of fiber ( worst thing is we are not getting the wheat what our forefathers were eaten)
Fiber is most important to our body, fiber plays important role in our intestine i, e
A) it removes all the waste particles in our intestine
B) we can say it regulates the glucose release to our blood etc
Fiber in our food is more, slowly it release the glucose in to blood, this how it regulates blood glucose level.
If we eat rice it doesn't have fiber so within the few minutes of having meals(rice) glucose levels increases in blood.
