I was playing online game " Artillery" on my computer. The multiplayer version of the game will be very fun, so I called one of my friends to play with me. He came but with a problem, he forgot to bring his internet dongle. I have a wired modem in my room, so only one computer could be connected to the internet at a time. As we were very much motivated to defeat each other in the game, a bit search revealed we can connect one computer with the another.
This is how it works for windows
Step 1: Go to the computer that has the internet connection
Step 2: On the right-hand corner bottom neat the date section there is a computer icon ( internet access icon). Click it
Step 3: Open Network and Sharing Center
Step 4: Go to set up a new connection or network
Step 5: In choosing a connection section select "Set up wireless ad hoc (Computer to computer)" network, press next.
Step 6: Select a username and password. Use WPA2-Personal as the security type. If you have a doubt that hacker lies in your neighbourhood within the distance of 30 feet, you can use WEP.
Step 7: Select the checkbox to save the network and click next
Step 8: Once the connection is saved. Any user who has wifi can see your connection listed in Dial-up and VPN section. He can connect to the network using the password.
** Ad-hoc network is a temporary network used for sharing files, internet etc among the multiple computers and devices. All the computer and devices must be within 30 feet of each other.
And yes I pounded my opponent player with heavy artillery laser-guided bombs, did not even give him a chance to face-saving retreat.
